QUINCY, Mass. – Stop & Shop has voluntarily recalled a children’s cough medicine due to incorrect dosage markings that could result in potential overdoses.

The supermarket removed Care One Children’s Mucus Relief Cough medicine from its shelves after the Perrigo Company recalled it due to incorrect dosage markings.

The recalled product is: Care One Children’s Mucus Relief Cough – Cherry Flavor, 4 oz., UPC 34152031837 with an expiration date of 3/17.

Customers who have purchased this item should throw out any remaining product and bring their purchase receipt to Stop & Shop for a full refund.

Stop & Shop says it has received no reports of illness.
