HARTFORD – On Tuesday at 10 a.m. police conducted an undercover narcotics operation in the area of South Green Park and 33 Park Street.
The operation was conducted in response to people complaining about drug dealers dealing in the park.
Undercover cops conducted surveillance in the area and were able to identify prospective drug dealers and their customers. A total of 16 people were arrested and charged with various narcotics charges.
On Wednesday, a second raid was conducted at two City Gas stations, located at 1510 Albany Ave. and 10 White St. That raid was connected to reports of intellectual property violations, and officers found counterfeit clothing during the search of the businesses.
During those raids police also seized a large amount of synthetic marijuana and bath salts from above the ceiling tiles in the businesses, as well as untaxed cigarettes.
Three were arrested.

Ticketed were Jadaiah Sneed, 36, of Westfield, MA, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance and Raymond Guzman, 28, of Hartford, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Evidence seized as part of the operation were two ounces of marijuana, 60 bags of heroin, 15 grams of crack cocaine and 9 suboxone tablets, all valued at $441.

Evidence seized as part of the operations included 663 counterfeit hats knit winter hats; 1022 grams of bath salts; 37 synthetic marijuana packs; $28,187 in cash; and a large amount of untaxed tobacco products.
After the operation, the gas stations were was closed down and the doors were locked, but after police left one of the buildings was burglarized. Police are now investigating the burglary.
