NEW CANAAN — A woman has been charged with driving under the influence after police say she showed up drunk up at a middle school to pick up her child.
Police responded to Saxe Middle School last week for reports of an intoxicated person.
Authorities say 52-year-old Carol Sung, of New Canaan, was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. Police say she refused a Breathalyzer test.
Sung was released on $250 bond and is scheduled to appear on court on Tuesday.
The Connecticut Post reports that Sung also faces charges in connection with a 2014 crash that injured a teenager. She has pleaded not guilty.
Her attorney said it would be “inappropriate” to comment on either case.
