STAMFORD — A suspect was captured on surveillance video during a robbery at gunpoint last Thursday.
Police were alerted to an incident that occurred just after 10pm at the Subway sandwich shop on Shippan Avenue. A suspect entered the establishment and brandished a handgun before demanding the clerk hand over the cash register.
The man in question took particular care in concealing his identity by wearing a black mask, gloves and a long jacket. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was last seen wearing a backpack and riding a bicycle away from the scene.
The store employee was not injured in the confrontation.
Stamford Police officials released the footage in an attempt to identify the individual wanted in the armed robbery. If you have any information or know the identity of the individual, you are asked to call the Stamford Police Detective Bureau confidentially at 203-977-4417.
