HARTFORD — Musicians with the Hartford Symphony agreed to the terms of a new contract and they say it’s up to the management to approve the proposal.

Local 400 of the American Federation of Musicians met Sunday to discuss of the terms of the proposed agreement.

According to the union, the new contract would cut musician salary and benefits of 36% over the course of the next four seasons. The union said the Hartford Symphony board is scheduled to meet Tuesday and will decide if it will approve the proposal.

In September, the National Labor Relations Board said the HSO had failed to bargain in good faith with the union.
