Double overtime leads to Newington victory over Wethersfield

NEWINGTON--The Newington Indians improved to 12-0 for the season in a tough double-overtime.

The Indians defeated the Wethersfield Eagles 73-71 in a well-fought game.

The Indians were lead by Jarred Simmon,s who had a game-high 25 points, including a 3-pointer that pushed him past the 1,000 career point mark.

Also on the courts, the number 1 ranked Capital Prep Lady Trailblazers rolled over the Vinal Tech Hawks 71-17.
