Juvenile arrested for series of Glastonbury car break-ins

GLASTONBURY — Police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile Thursday in connection with six motor vehicle burglaries that occurred in December.

The crimes happened overnight between December 7 and 8. Police said the juvenile and an accomplice stole a vehicle and went into unlocked cars and stole valuables.

The juvenile was charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. The suspect was not identified due to his age.

The suspects were stopped by the Hartford Police Department on December 8 in the vehicle that had been stolen in Glastonbury. Police found  items stolen during the Glastonbury burglaries, as well as items stolen
from a motor vehicle burglary in East Hartford.

Early December saw a rash of car break-ins in West Hartford, East Hartford, Newington and Windsor Locks.

Police said the accomplice had been arrested for their involvement in the six burglaries.
