STAMFORD — A Metro-North train collided with a snow plow after it drove onto a crossing in Stamford and got stuck.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. Sunday at a crossing at Riverbend Drive on the New Canaan branch.
The train failed to stop in time, striking the plow.
Metro-North officials say there were no passengers on the train at the time and there were no injuries reported.
Officials say the train was not damaged.
Metro-North train service at outlying terminals in New York and Connecticut is scheduled to resume after noon.
Service was suspended Saturday afternoon as a major snowstorm hit the East Coast.
