New Haven teacher being investigated for inappropriate relationship

NEW HAVEN–A high school teacher is being investigated for unprofessional conduct in the classroom.

The New Haven Public Schools received allegations that a female teacher at the Engineering and Science University Magnet School had an inappropriate relationship with a student, and the district is now investigating. Both New Haven Police and the Department of Children and Families were notified and are involved in the investigation.

On Thursday, police said the suspect was employee on the New Haven Board of Education and that the student victim attended the Engineering and Science School in Hamden.
