BRIDGEPORT – On Friday, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a vacant multi-family home on Wilmot Avenue in Bridgeport that police said was being occupied by known gang members. Police said the gang members took control of the vacant house and were dealing drugs out of it.
The raid resulted in the seizure of drugs, guns and stolen property, and the arrest of Yero Walker, 33, of Bridgeport, who faces a number of drug and firearm charges.
The seized guns were listed as two Glock handguns, a sawed-off shotgun, an Inner Arms .38 revolver, a Phoenix Arms .25 caliber pistol, a Rino Calesi .25 caliber pistol, and a Charter Arms revolver.
Police said the power tools can be traded for drugs.
The investigation came as a result of a number of numerous shootings that have occurred over the past year in the East End of Bridgeport.
Walker is due in Bridgeport Superior Court on Monday and his bail was set at $500,000.
