OLD SAYBROOK — The caretaker of a infant has been charged with manslaughter in the child’s death.
On Saturday, December 19, 2015, police were called to the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites on 1750 Boston Post Road, for an unresponsive infant.
During the investigation, detectives interviewed multiple people, including the boyfriend of the infant’s mother. Police said they determined Keith Frost, 29, of Old Saybrook was wanted for robbery in Suffolk County, New York. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and criminal impersonation and arrested back in December.
On Friday, Frost was arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter in Middletown Superior Court after he had been incarcerated for those earlier charges. He is being held on $150,000 bail.
