MIDDLETOWN, R.I. — Two people will be extradited to Rhode Island after being charged in the killing of a man in a Middletown hotel.
Middletown police say 49-year-old Lavern Price, of Newport, and 41-year-old Todd Sullo, 41, of Providence, were arrested Thursday after a high speed chase in Connecticut that ended with them crashing their car near New London.
The black Acura was owned by 51-year-old Mark Lussier, a Mount Pleasant, South Carolina resident found partially submerged in a bathtub at the Quality Inn in Middletown Tuesday.
Police haven’t disclosed a motive but confirm that Price and Sullo were also registered as staying in the room with Lussier. The Providence Journal reports Sullo is also a convicted felon with several outstanding warrants.
The pair is being arraigned in New London. It couldn’t immediately be determined if they had lawyers.
