New things are hard, just ask FOX 61's Sarah Cody, who is learning a ballroom dance routine to perform at an upcoming Donate Life Connecticut gala. Dancing is fun, but it takes confidence.
There were moments of panic as she adjusted to the rumba. It's an emotional and sensual dance -- daunting for friends gearing up to sashay in front of several hundred people at Donate Life Connecticut's March 18 gala in Prospect.
But Cody says it's important to keep her eyes on the prize.
She is supporting people like Danny Deitz who will be honored at the event. The Simsbury athlete received a heart transplant in September and is now doing well. But there aren't enough organ donors to meet the need, a fact that Donate Life Connecticut is trying to change.
