HARTFORD - The UConn Huskies made a late season push to earn home ice against the Vermont Catamounts in a best of three series in the opening round of the Hockey East Conference playoffs. After dropping the opening game 2-1 the Huskies looked to rebound Saturday night and force a deciding game on Sunday. UConn would lead twice including heading into the third, but Vermont would rally late including a game winner by Brian Bowen with less than two minutes left in regulation as the Catamounts win 4-3 and take the series 2-0.
