State GOP treasurer arrested in Bristol

Gary SchaffrickBRISTOL–A ranking member of the Connecticut Republican Party has been arrested.

Gary Schaffrick, who is the treasurer for the state GOP, was charged with risk of injury to a minor.

The chairman of the state GOP, J.R. Romano, told FOX 61 the party is not currently commenting on the situation.

Schaffrick is also the chair of the Bristol Housing Authority, according to the website.
