Girls high school basketball state tournament sees demise of 2 more teams

BERLIN--Berlin High School was the site for a Class M semifinal double-header in girls high school basketball.

The first game of the night had the Cromwell Panthers staying unbeaten for the season by defeating the Crusaders of Holy Cross 58-46.

The second spot in the finals was won by the Lancers of Notre Dame Fairfield as they handed the Enfield Raiders their first loss of the season 60-55.

The two teams will square off next weekend at the Mohegan Sun Arena for the next round of the state championship.
