HARTFORD — A jury has found a 22-year-old man guilty of murder in the 2014 shooting death of a man in Hartford.
The Hartford Courant reports Cleveland Brown was convicted on Thursday in Hartford. Superior Court jurors acquitted Brown of felony murder and attempted first-degree robbery.
Prosecutors say witnesses testified that they watched Brown shoot 33-year-old Tyron Taylor on the morning of June 11, 2014. Taylor was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The shooting followed a confrontation that happened in front of a grocery store.
Brown faces up to 70 years in prison when he’s sentenced on May 12.
