Math lovers rejoice!

Monday is National Pi Day!

Not the kind you eat.

It’s celebrated on March 14, because the date mimics the first three digits of the mathematical constant pi, which is 3.14.

Eateries and retailers in cities around the country are getting in on the fun by offering pi day promotions.

Here at FOX 61, Lyman Orchards delivered some pies to mark the fact that they are reopening for the season on Saturday.

Microsoft is discounting some computers by 31.4%  for the day.

If you are skilled, Pizza Hut posted math problems to its blog blog.pizzahut.com at 8 a.m. Monday. They released three math problems on the blog and first person to solve and submit the correct answer to any one of the problems will get a chance to receive 3.14 years of free pizza from Pizza Hut. The problems vary in level of difficulty from high school to PhD level. Answers must be provided within the blog comments, which will be time stamped to determine the potential winner. Pizza Hut equates 3.14 years of free pizza to approximately $1,600 in gift cards.
