The NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament gets underway Thursday afternoon with two teams from Connecticut in the mix.

The University of Connecticut takes on Colorado at 1:30 p.m. in Des Moines. The Colorado Buffaloes bounced back from a rare down year to tie the school record with 21 regular-season wins prior to the the Pac-12 tournament, but they’ll face a Connecticut Huskies team that won the NCAA title two years ago and is fresh from an American Athletic Conference championship fueled by a four-overtime victory over Cincinnati in the quarterfinals. The game will be seen live on the TNT Network.

Yale University will play Baylor at 2:45 p.m. in Providence.  Yale has had to deal with some tough off the court issues on their way to the NCAA tournament following the expulsion last month of former captain Jack Montague after a sexual assault allegation. Yale’s players say they are refusing to let it be a distraction as the Bulldogs head into their West Region first-round matchup with Baylor. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
