HARTFORD--On this week's cold case, we examine a 14-year-old shooting.

On December 5, 2002 around 7 a.m. Stacey McDonald was driving on Granby Street in Hartford. His girlfriend was in the car.

At one point a white Toyota pulled up next to McDonald's car, and the sole black male occupant began firing shots. One hit McDonald in the chest, the other in the arm.

McDonald crashed the car, and was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle to police, who found it two days later. Inside were spent 9mm casings, the same type of gun used to kill McDonald.

McDonald left behind a girlfriend and child, and they are still hoping for answers and justice.
