TORRINGTON–Two days after a police officer was struck by a car, the suspect has been captured.

On Wednesday evening an officer was trying to serve several arrest warrants to Kyle Treadway, 23, of Norfolk. The attempted arrest was in the area of 400 East Main St. When the officer approached, Treadway hit him with his car and drove off on Route 8.

The officer was treated at the hospital and released.

On Friday, around 4 p.m., officers found Treadway at a home on Culvert Street in Torrington and arrested him without any further disturbance.

He was charged with failure to appear and sale of narcotics, which were the original warrants the officer tried to serve him on Wednesday, plus with a third warrant for the new crimes, including: assault on a police officer, assault in the second degree, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, evading responsibility and obstructing an emergency vehicle.

He’s being held on a combined bond of $320,000 and will appear in court on Monday.
