Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford: Helping people read and more

Right here in Hartford, 73 percent of adults are reading at or below a sixth grade reading level.  That’s about 92,000 people.  Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford is hoping to help those who can’t read, write or even speak English.

Kristen Lapenta, Digital Literacy Coordinator and Katie Reaves, Director of Development and Communications for Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford joined FOX 61 Good Day Connecticut to talk about the program and the upcoming gala and silent auction.
