BOLTON - Good Friday typically brings longs lines to candy stores around the state, including Munson's Chocolates in Bolton.

This year, the 70-year old Connecticut confectionery has added some creativity to help the Wounded Warrior Project. Among Munson's 200 varieties of sweets, there is one that stands out - ironically for being camouflaged.  Made in two and four-ounce varieties, "Camo Bunny" has become a solid favorite this Easter.

"They are buying more than a gift," said third generation owner of Munson's, Karen Munson, "It is the message that goes with it."

Munson said that this year, the 38,000-square-foot Bolton facility produced 5,000 Camo Bunnies and 20 percent of the proceeds will go the Wounded Warriors.

The handmade creations have sold out for this season. Munson expects that more will be made later this year for the Christmas season.

"We tripled our production estimates (for Easter) this year and we couldn't keep up with the demand," she said.
