WILLINGTON — Two New York men have been arrested after police said they found 4 pounds of marijuana and thousands in cash in their car during a traffic stop in Willington.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Dixon, of Saugerties, New York, and 28-year-old Morgan Mark, of Kingston, New York, are facing charges of marijuana possession and related crimes.

Police stopped Dixon for speeding Friday morning on Interstate 84.

Police said they detected the odor of marijuana and asked to search the car. Police found more than 4 pounds of marijuana hidden in shopping bags and more than $67,000 in cash in a knit bag.

The items were seized along with the vehicle.

Both men are being held on $500,000 bond. They’re scheduled to appear in court Monday.

It’s unclear whether they have attorneys who could comment.
