FARMINGTON--There's going to be more traffic than normal for the next several months in Farmington.

Starting Monday, there will be construction on Route 4 between Mountain Spring Road and Garden Street. The road will be narrowed to just one lane in each direction during daytime hours, which is expected to cause delays.

The construction will continue for the rest of the year, and there are no planned detours. However, police officers will be at the construction zones to assist traffic and use flags to alternate if needed.

Businesses in the area will be accessible during the construction, and will all be able to remain open.
