MERIDEN--A fundraiser was held on Friday night, and it was all to help one woman who is battling breast cancer.
Deb McKay was diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 breast cancer and is undergoing expensive treatments, which aren't covered by insurance. This is her second bout with the disease.
The Fight Strong Foundation organized the fundraiser to help McKay pay for the treatments.
"You can tell that there is so much love in this room, and we just want Debbie to fight, and she's gotta fight hard. And we're all gonna be here to support her," said Natuzza DiMassi, a friend of McKay's.
All money raised from the event, which was hosted by FOX 61's Maggie Slysz, will help pay for McKay's treatment.
