HEBRON – Thanks to social media, the owner of a dog that was hit by a car has been found.

Hebron Veterinary Hospital in Hebron was looking for the owner of a German Shepherd that was brought to the animal hospital on Saturday. They posted a picture of him on Facebook and asked people to help share the story.

The dog was found injured on Route 66 in Hebron early Saturday morning.

After thousands of people shared pictures of the dog, named Diego, we later learned, his owner found him and came forward.
