HARTFORD — Representatives from colleges around the state will meet this week to discuss strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The annual conference will take place Thursday at the University of Connecticut Law School in Hartford.

Students from Yale University and the University of Connecticut are planning to discuss the 2015 international climate talks that they had the chance to witness in Paris.

Faculty from Wesleyan, UConn and Yale will present research and analysis of the Paris climate agreement and representatives from other schools will highlight successful sustainability initiatives on campus.

The Connecticut Alliance for Campus Sustainability was established in 2014 to boost efforts at the state’s institutes of higher education to protect the environment.
