HOLLYWOOD — It’s the end of an era, but before it all ends we stopped to take a look back at the past 15 seasons of “American Idol.”

On Tuesday, FOX 61 aired “American Idol: American Dream,” a 90-minute retrospective featuring host Ryan Seacrest, current and former judges, as well as former “Idol” winners and contestants.

The behind-the-scenes team shared their personal “Idol” memories as they reflected on what the show has meant to them and how it became the groundbreaking series that it is today. Original judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson offered never-before-revealed stories about how “Idol” came to be.

From Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson to Jordin Sparks, to Daughtry and last-but-not-least Connecticut native Nick Fradiani, the show remembered all the greats that got their starts on the singing competition.

Now it’s time to get ready for answer we’ve all been waiting for: who will be the last ever American Idol? Find out on a two-night series finale, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. on FOX 61.
