Southington pizza restaurant severely damaged in fire

SOUTHINGTON -- A fire severely damaged a popular pizza restaurant early Thursday. Police said the fire started around 1:30 a.m. at Renaldo's Apizza 378 N Main St in Southington.

No one was hurt, but the building had extensive damage. Fire officials at the scene said the fire was contained to the attic.

Firefighters were still putting out hot spots several hours after the fire started.

Viewer Felica Cooper sent FOX 61 video of the flames as the fire was burning.

No word yet on what caused the blaze.
