Dunkin’ Donuts Park sign goes up in Hartford

HARTFORD - The Hartford Yard Goats baseball club officially raising the Dunkin' Donuts Park sign at the main entrance to the park Sunday, the next step after opening their inaugural season this week.

A lighting ceremony will be held at a future date.

The  Yard Goats won their first-ever game Thursday and defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels 5-4 at The Diamond in Virginia on Minor League Baseball Opening Day. Rockies outfield prospect Rosell Herrera had four hits and drove in three runs and first round selection Kyle Freeland surrendered just one run in five innings to earn the win.

Dunkin Donuts Park is scheduled to open early next month.
