BLOOMFIELD — Police said a missing teen was found and has been returned safely to her family.
Dia Denny, 14, was last seen on April 2. Police said she was found in New York City Wednesday night.
New York Police located her at a homeless shelter in Queens. She was taken to the local precinct where she was reunited with family members who traveled to New York.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the case.
Police had focused on the possibility Denny traveled to New York City from the beginning. On Wednesday, they said she got a ride to Union Station in Hartford on the day she was last seen.
Surveillance video showed her at the train station with another person and the pair leaving the station.
