Voter registration deadlines for next Tuesday’s primary

HARTFORD -- Deadlines are approaching for next Tuesday's presidential primary.

New or unaffiliated voters can go to their local registrar by noon on April 25 to register.

There is no new voter registration on primary days. Find out if you are registered to vote here. 

According to the Secretary of the States office, in 2016, almost 22,000 unaffiliated voters have switched to a major party. According to the latest counts, 13,722 people switched from unaffiliated voters to the Democratic Party and 8,232 people switched from unaffiliated to the Republican Party.
