ANSONIA–A local police officer has been charged after a domestic incident.
Milford Police obtained an arrest warrant for Ansonia Police Officer Christopher Kelley on Sunday after responding overnight to a domestic incident. Kelley was charged with disorderly conduct.
He turned himself in on Monday, and was released on a promise to appear in court on Tuesday. We do not yet know what occurred at the arraignment.
Kelley, who has worked as an Ansonia police officer since July 2013, is now on administrative leave pending the resolution of the case, and the Ansonia Police Internal Affairs unit is also conducting an investigation into its officer.
