WILLIMANTIC – Police arrested a mother and her boyfriend after her 2-year-old daughter was found wandering alone Saturday morning on West Avenue.
Police said the uninjured girl had been seen walking earlier on West Avenue, but was also seen returning to her home.
Police said the girl had simply walked out of the unlocked apartment twice in the morning while the couple was in the apartment sleeping.
The Department of Children and Families was notified.
Arrested were Lymarys Lopez, 20, and William Gonzalez, 28, and both were charged with breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.
Their bail was set at $1,500 each.
Their court date is May 10 in Danielson Superior Court.
