HARTFORD - State lawmakers are close to closing a $900 million deficit for the next fiscal year - that is the good news.
The bad news is that a $2 billion deficit is projected for the next fiscal year: 2017-18.

There is no doubt that these are tough economic times for the state of Connecticut, no question, the state must change the way it conducts business. Is there a fix?
