FOX 61 has teamed up with the University of Connecticut Athletic Department for a new scholarship program.
The scholarship is called "The Drive for 5."
On Wednesday, FOX 61 sports reporter Bob Rumbold spoke to the new UConn athletic director, David Benedict, about his new gig.
Benedict started about seven weeks ago, and it's been a whirlwind, one that included a trip to the White House as President Barack Obama honored the UConn Women's Basketball Team on its fourth straight national NCAA title.
