NORWICH — A woman was charged with making up a false statement after she admitted to making up a report of being sexually assaulted by a Connecticut State Police trooper.

Detectives determined that she had been arrested by this trooper in a separate case in 2012. Molocko told police she had been assaulted on numerous occasions by the trooper.

Further investigation failed to verify any of the allegations.

In early April, Molocko admitted in an interview that the actions and allegations were not true and she made them up to gain leverage in a civil dispute with her former boyfriend.

Molocko was charged Wednesday with making a false statement and is scheduled to appear in court on May 25.
