HAMDEN - The 12-3 Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team won the school's first-ever NCAA tournament game Wednesday night by defeating the University of Hartford Hawks 14-9. The Bobcats were led by junior goalkeeper Jack Brust, who had 18 saves, but like all their wins this was a team effort and earned them the chance to face the top-ranked 14-2 Maryland Terps this Sunday.

The Maryland-Quinnipiac winner will move on to the NCAA Quarterfinals in Providence on Saturday, May 21 against the Syracuse-Albany winner for the right to advance to the Final Four, which will be held in Philadelphia this year.
