PRESTON–Residents in Preston voted to allow a preliminary plan to sell a plot of land to Mohegan.
The Mohegan Tribal Authority is looking to transform the old Norwich Hospital site into a multi-purpose area, possibly with an outdoor adventure park, year-round ski slope, office space and even homes.
There are tons of options to be built on the enormous property, the chairman of the Mohegan Tribal Authority said, and it would open the possibilities and audience for those looking to visit the casino area but not gamble.
The development project could create 200 to 700 full time jobs.
Mohegan would spend between $200 and $600 million to develop the property.=
