GUILFORD - In public, Kevin Lembo is the State Comptroller.

At home, he is a newly licensed foster parent, alongside his husband, Charles Frey.  The couple recently housed siblings — a baby and a toddler — in their Guilford home.

"It's everything from cleaning-up Cheerios off the floor to reading time to giving them that little moment of stability when their lives can be a chaotic," says Lembo.

He and Frey are the parents of three boys, two adopted out of the system, ages 16, 27 and 31.  During National Foster Care Awareness Month, the couple is speaking-out, urging more Connecticut residents to become much-needed foster parents.
