MILFORD — A man who said he helped rescue several people from a fiery crash has appealed on Facebook for help in finding his fellow Good Samaritans.

Bill DeCarlo said he stopped at the scene of an accident on the I-95-Route 15 connector in Milford Saturday night. He posted a picture of the fiery crash on his Facebook page.

DeCarlo said the car was on fire with two women inside and four men were helping get them out of the car.  He said the men were able to pull the injured women out of the car as it burned.

He said never got the names of his fellow rescuers and when it was over, they just shook hands said good job and went their separate ways. He described one as an African-American man between 20 and 35 with a SCSU sweatshirt who lost his shoe in the mud near the crash. The other men were Caucasian, between 25 and 25 with light t-shirts.

“My thought is I’d like to have a beer and shake these total strangers hands again so I’m asking for everyone’s help,” said DeCarlo.
