Hartford’s oldest relic holds its oldest, original residents

For five years now, FOX 61 photojournalist Mike Townsend has brought you the stories of Connecticut's past and present, as told by the people of Connecticut.

From buttons to bicycles, clocks, to carousels, many of our state's lost treasures have been brought back into the light.

Now, we take a look back at the very first segment of Connecticut's weekly Hidden History feature about Hartford's ancient burial ground, which is the oldest historic site in the state's capital city. The gravestones tell the stories of all different people and the varied ways in which they died.
