Wedding cruise ship runs aground in Boston

BOSTON — A rocky start to marriage for a bride and groom in Boston Saturday after the wedding cruise ship they were on ran aground.

The couple, along with more than 150 passengers and crew were in the middle of dinner on the Boston Harbor cruise when it happened.

Boston Harbor cruise wedding“It was not something big, but you don’t have time to go through all the process,” said the bride, Fernanda Cercada.

“It lasted like an hour. It was like an hour and then there was a big crash,” said the groom Jaime Stern. “The next thing you know the Coast Guard, everyone’s moving.”

“Kids are crying. People screaming. It was crazy,” Stern added.

No one was injured and there was no visible damage to the boat. The bride and groom say they hope to get a refund.

They are headed for Brazil for their honeymoon.
