SOUTHINGTON--About 100 people gathered Wednesday evening for some drinks, but it wasn't about the alcohol.
The Pinot and Prevention event, hosted by Hartford Healthcare, was about educating people about heart disease in women. Running with Scissors, an organization started in honor of Karen Pfaffenbach, who died of heart disease in 2013, sponsored the event.
However, it wasn't all solemn. Robin Fox, a comedian from Nickelodeon and winner of the 2012 Ladies of Laughter competition, was on hand to give the audience a healthy dose of laughter.
The laughs paired quite well with the pinot!
