GUILFORD – An animal shelter in Guilford issued a warning about fisher cats.
The said they have gotten a lot of calls about them lately.
In a Facebook post, the shelter warns residents to keep an eye on cats and small dogs, which can make up part of a fisher cats’ diet.
The Facebook post states that fisher cats have become a common sight around town over the last few years.
“These sleek predators have alarmed more than a few residents with their startling calls,” it states in the Facebook post.
The Guilford shelter chalks it up to “part of living out here in the country.”
