HARTFORD — Hartford Police responded to a shooting at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Elliot Street in Hartford in the early morning hours Saturday.

Police received the call around 4:23 a.m. and they responded to a serious assault with a fire arm. They found the victim, Francisco Alvarado, 33, in the rear yard of 186 Franklin Avenue suffering from two gunshot wounds to his back.  The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

According to Hartford Police, Alvarado was uncooperative and would not provide details of the incident. Witnesses reported a suspect running east on Elliot Street.

Hartford Police are still investigating the incident, looking for a White or Hispanic male with dark, bushy hair.
