NEW HAVEN - It was smooth sailing at the Long Wharf Waterfront in New Haven Saturday.
Teams competed in the Elm City's second annual Dragon Boat Regatta and Food Truck Festival.
The festival’s successful debut last year drew more 20,000 people and raised approximately $50,000. Proceeds were used to underwrite a micro-loan program and provide financial assistance to non traditional small businesses.
For the regatta, teams will compete in a series of races in 41-foot Dragon Boats to determine who is the “Fastest in New Haven!"
Proceeds from the event will be used to provide financial assistance to small businesses and job growth.
