BRISTOL - High school baseball tournaments reached the quarter finals on Saturday.

At historic Muzzy Field in Bristol, the number one seed Bristol Eastern Lancers hosted  the Yellow Jackets of East Haven in Class L action. The Lancers got on the board in bottom of the fist inning and never looked back advancing to the semi finals with the 6-1 victory. Bristol Eastern will face East Lyme Tuesday in the semi finals.

Across town, the Falcons of St. Paul Catholic take on the Highlanders of Portland in a Class S matchup. After Portland got on the board in the first, St. Paul quickly tied the game in the bottom of the inning and it just more interesting from there. In the bottom of the sixth Michael Dombrowski sent the ground ball all the way to the fence in left field the brings home Thomas Houle all the way from first to give the Falcons a 5-4 lead and they hold on to win 6-5 and will face Old Lyme in the semi.
