SPENCER, Mass — “Judge less, pray more.”
That’s the advice of a Massachusetts mother who just an hour earlier was at same Disney beach where a 2-year-old boy was killed by an alligator.
“I took these pics at the exact spot this happened betw 8 & 830, the incident happened at 9,” Jennifer Venditti wrote on Facebook. Her post is now going viral.
Police say that Lane Graves was found by a dive team Wednesday afternoon not far from where he disappeared. Disney closed all beaches in its resort area “out of an abundance of caution” after the alligator attack in a lagoon outside the Grand Floridian hotel Tuesday night.
The child was “wading just in the water along the lake’s edge at the time that the alligator attacked,” a Disney spokesperson said.
Venditti said it could have happened to anyone, and she wondered if she had talked with Lane’s mother.
I took these pics at the exact spot this happened betw 8 & 830, the incident happened at 9….I can’t imagine anyone could sleep knowing that the helicopter was searching for a missing child taken by an alligator. I can’t help but wonder if we played with him, did I talk to his Mom?? How does one go home without your baby in tow? I’ve already seen posts criticizing the parents. I can assure you alligators were not on my mind at all when Channing was in the water. It’s a tiny beach, surrounded by pools, water slides, a restaurant and a fire pit. I can’t conceive that an alligator would be in such a busy, small space. #judgelesspraymore
